A group of Brighton resident’s are trying to name Highway 78 the J.N. Ding Darling Memorial Highway. Brighton City Administrator Chris Davies says the proposal is in its infant stages. Next month, the group behind the effort will begin attending the council meetings of city’s along the highway to get their approval. They’ll also need consent from the Board of Supervisors in the three counties the highway passes through.

Davies says it would be similar to the Avenue of the Saints title given to Highway 218, meaning addresses would stay the same.
