A helium shortage that started years ago is getting worse. According to Eldora Marsengill with Washington Rental the shortage that started a few years back has gotten worse in the past months.

She explains that her supplier told her bluntly, “the helium you have is all the helium you’re going to get.” She adds that helium has been taken off the market for entertainment purposes and is being reserved for the Medical and Aerospace industries.

Marsengill shares that the price for helium has gone way up and so has the price for balloons filled with the little helium Washington Rental has left.
