High school students in Iowa’s Second Congressional District are being asked to submit original artwork for the 2017 Congressional Art Competition. Congressman Dave Loebsack says, “The creativity of our talented young artists demonstrates that the arts are thriving in Iowa.” The winning student from each district will be invited to Washington, D.C. to attend a reception. Also, the winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Captiol for one year. Entries must be submitted by April 21st and the winner will be chosen by the public through online voting.
