The Highland Huskies wrestling team traveled to Clarence and hit the mat Saturday in the North Cedar Invitational. The Huskies finished 10th of 14 teams with their overall score of 43 points. Solon won the team title with 207.5 points. Highland’s day was highlighted by a pair of fourth place finishes with Jack Peiffer finishing fourth at 126lbs after going 2-2 on the day, scoring a pair of falls and Carlos Valenzuela was fourth at 132lbs after a 1-2 day that included recording a pin in his opening match. Landon Bell at 106lbs and Remington Fields at 120lbs both finished fifth and Ayden Havel at 145lbs was sixth. The Huskies are back on the mat tonight when they travel to Muscatine for a triangular against West Liberty and the Muskies at 6p.m.
