Mobile blood drives are making stops in southeast Iowa to help fill the ongoing need for blood donations.

Impact Life, formerly known as the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, will be hosting mobile blood drives in Washington, Keota and Ainsworth in the month of August. Both the Washington and Keota drives will be taking place August 5th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Holy Trinity Parish Center in Keota from 2:30-7:30. The Ainsworth drive will be taking place on August 16th at Ainsworth Community Church from 2-7. Donor Relations Consultant Chris Ciasto explains why they host these mobile sites, “The whole goal is to make it easy and donors don’t always want to drive five miles further or in some cases half an hour to get to one of our donor centers. So if we want to see the donors we have to make it easy and that has been a really good model.”

There are currently critical needs for O+,O- and AB- blood types. If you would like to donate or need more information visit here.
