Kirkwood Community College and IowaWORKS are partnering to make career consultants available to the people of Washington County to help them with their career and training goals. Members of the public will be able to take advantage of walk-in appointments on select Tuesdays over the next few months. Those seeking career advice will be able to sit down with an expert to discuss effective strategies for getting hired. Career consultants will be at the Washington Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 28, April 25, May 23, and June 27. Kirkwood Continuing Education notes nearly 46,000 annual enrollments in classes ranging from industry certification to career development to personal enrichment. Over the last 20 years, the number of new jobs created through Kirkwood’s Continuing Education & Training Services has exceeded 14,000.
