Passing ordinances and assessing possible road improvements were the headlines of Monday’s Jefferson County Board of Supervisors meeting.  The first ordinance involved the inspection and installation of disposal systems, and according to Chairman Stephen Burgmeier there will be a slight increase in rates. The second was in regards to governing wells and water supply systems, this ordinance also passed.

Also an assessment has been done on two pieces of roadway that the county is considering repaving, those pieces of road include a part of 227th street and Grimes Avenue.

The Board is also in the process of hiring a new Engineer. They will be holding another round of interviews this afternoon.
