Following the third reading of an amendment on Monday, the City of Keota’s zoning ordinance now includes six different zoning districts. Prior to the change, the ordinance classified all property as restricted residential. That meant if someone wanted to open a business, they needed a variance signed by every property owner within 300 feet. The ordinance now has six districts – residential, business, general commerce, industrial and ag land. You can view the ordinance at city hall.
