Law enforcement contracts for cities in Washington County with the sheriff’s office will be discussed by the Washington County Board of Supervisors. The sheriff’s office provides law enforcement for Ainsworth, Brighton, Crawfordsville, Kalona, Riverside, Wellman, and West Chester. Also on the supervisors’ agenda is the hiring of a Washington County Ambulance Director. Last week, they voted 4-1 to withdraw an offer from their top candidate after receiving multiple phone calls with concerns. Names of candidates have not been made public. The supervisors meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse.
