Lone Tree boys start with win

The Lone Tree boys started their season with a road win over Olin 61-48. For Lone Tree freshman Bryan Forbes had 15, Trey Forbes had 12 and Quinn Rayner put in 8.

The Lone Tree girls were at Lisbon and it was Lisbon winning 55-48.

Sigourney girls beat Belle Plaine 57-28.

Lone Tree basketball teams are at Olin

Lone Tree boys will also kick off their season tonight as they travel to take on Olin. This is a boy-girl doubleheader but the girls have already started their season. They lost a tight game to Highland last Tuesday. The rest of the Super Conference boys teams open the season tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, the Sigourney Savage girls basketball team goes on the road tonight for their second game of the season. The Savages will face Belle Plaine.

Boys basketball season about to start

Several girls basketball teams kickoff season tonight

The Highland girls basketball team opens their season hosting rival Lone Tree. Meanwhile IMS travels to Winfield to take on Winfield-Mount Union. It’s the opener for IMS, Winfield-Mount Union started their season with a win over West Liberty Friday. Sigourney opens their season tonight hosting English Valleys. Keota plays Tri-County in Keota. This is the second game for Keota, they lost to BGM Friday.

All-district for area A schools released

IMS boys take state cross country crown

Area 1A teams begin tournament play

The Class 1A postseason begins tonight. Lone Tree will host English Valleys, IMS takes on Keota in Thornberg, WACO is at New London and Highland will host Winfield Mount Union.
