The Lone Tree wrestling team traveled to Montezuma on Saturday for a tournament.

The Lions finished the day sixth out of 10 teams with 68 match points. Waukee took home the title with 221 points. Aaron Slaughter headlined the action for Lone Tree placing first at 120 lbs. He won all three of his matches including a pair of falls and a 13-6 decision. Bryce Thompson had a productive day at 106 lbs placing second winning one match by fall. Other top finishes for the Lions were Will Hotz placing third at 152 lbs, Tim Mills placing sixth at 195 lbs, and Trey Shalla placing fifth at 285 lbs.

The Lions get back on the mat Thursday traveling to Louisa-Muscatine.
