It’s been a busy last couple of weeks for the Louisa County Conservation. It was the first year for the Youth Jamboree earlier this month and according to Naturalist Katie Hammond, 150 kids were in attendance. She says she hopes to see more youth when they hold this event again. Next year the Jamboree will be held on June 1st, to avoid the busy month of May.

Also the Mothers Day on the Marsh went well, with over 70 people coming out for the paddle. The Conservation’s next event will be a Moonlight Paddle on June 2nd.
