A mental health seminar is coming to Washington and Fairfield next week.  Jill Kluesner with the Community Circle of Care says “Mental Health First Aid” is a two-day certification training that will teach how to give initial help to an individual who may be showing signs or symptoms of mental illness or may be experiencing a mental health crisis. She says the class will also discuss different care available in the local community.

Kluesner says you have to attend both days to obtain the certification.  The class is happening from 9:00 to 4:00 in Washington on Monday and Tuesday at the Washington School District Administration Building and in Fairfield from 9:00 to 4:00 on Thursday and Friday next week at the ACT Building.

The class size is limited to 30 students and signups are due the day before the class begins by contacting Mary Ann Williams at wilma2n@yahoo.com or 641-233-0367.
