Motocross racing will once again take over the grandstand at the Washington County Fair.

Starting at 7 p.m. Friday, there will be over two-dozen races involving dirt bikes of all sizes. The work began Wednesday night after the demolition derby. In preparation of the event, 90 5,000 pound cement blocks will have to be moved before they level off the track. Then they’ll use GPS to help locate where the various jumps are supposed to be. The Washington County Fair Board anticipates over 100 participants this year. Rider sign up is between 4-6 p.m. Entry fee is $25 for 50 c.c. bikes and $30 for all other sizes. There will also be a firework show once the sun goes down in between races.

Admission is $10 for adults and kids 10 and under are free.
