Seven chapters of city code will have amendments considered at tonight’s Washington City Council meeting. The first readings of the amendments for the nuisance codes were approved in February and tonight the second readings of revisions will be considered. The revisions include volunteer trees as nuisances, a definition and regulation for dumpsters and portable storage units, and the change in the size of building numbers so they can better be seen by emergency personnel and mail services.

Also, repairs to the street sweeper, manhole rehabilitation, and the sale of general obligation bonds will be discussed. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
