The Columbus Junction Farmers Market opens its 7th season tonight. Market Manager Mallory Smith says the first market of the year features bedding plants, brought by local growers. She says that’s why they purposely hold it before Mother’s Day. While its unknown if spring vegetables will be ready, market goers could see things like spinach, herbs and chives. The market will be open tonight from 5 to 7pm.
