all-star-lineup-2022

Tomorrow marks the last time three KCII area basketball players will represent their school on the hardwood by competing in the Pizza Ranch All Star games.

The annual event features some of the top seniors in the state with teams consisting of 10-12 players from four regions. Washington’s Kasen Bailey and Mid-Prairie’s Carter Harmsen will suit up for the Southeast Iowa boys team. Bailey was a third team class 3A all state selection by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association by averaging 15.2 points a night and dishing out the most assists in the Southeast Conference with 105. Harmsen was a second team class 2A all state pick by leading the Golden Hawks with 20 points and eight boards a game. Furthermore, the Southeast Iowa boys will be coached by Mid-Prairie’s Daren Lambert after he helped engineer a 24-1 campaign for the black and gold. The Southeast Iowa girls team will feature Mid-Prairie’s Maddie Nonnenmann. The senior was a third team class 3A all state selection by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association with 16 points and five rebounds a contest. She finished fourth on the all-time scoring list for the Golden Hawks with 1,066 points.

The festivities get underway at 10:15 a.m. tomorrow at Dallas Center Grimes High School.
