A new high school principal was approved by the Washington Community School Board Monday.

During a special meeting the board approved Teresa Beenblossom’s transfer from Lincoln Elementary principal, replacing Erik Buchholz, whose transfer to teach middle school career and technical education was approved earlier this month. Beenblossom has been the Lincoln Elementary principal since the 2016-2017 school year, with previous principal positions in the Mid-Prairie School District and St. James Catholic School, and had taught for 15 years in the Washington Community School District prior to that.
