The Washington County Board of Health will be asking voters to approve a new building for public health in November. Yesterday the building and finance committee met and approved of ballot language to present to the Washington County Board of Supervisors. If the supervisors approve the measure, the bond asking in November will be for $2 million and allow the supervisors to spend no more than $2.8 million on the project.

Danielle Pettit-Majewski, administrator of Washington County Public Health, tells KCII News the new building would better serve the residents of Washington County and improve efficiency. The finished building would be completely furnished and include a 60-stall parking lot. Grants will be sought to help pay for the project.
