Highland held their track and field invite last night, and in attendance were both the boys and girls teams from Mid-Prairie, Highland, Lone Tree and WACO, here are their top results from the meet.

For the boys, Mid-Prairie’s Levi Duwa won the shot put at 46’, they won the 4×800 with a team of Colin Weber, Zeb Schwartz, Andrew Schwartz and Ty Feigenspan, beating the old meet record set last year by Mid-Prairie with a time of 8:35.40, and Brent Foster and Zeb Schwartz went one and two in the 800 with Foster winning in a meet record time of 2:06.05, and Schwartz right behind in 2:06.43.

For Highland, Jake Yeggy was second in the shot put at 42’3.5”, Jacob Wilson was second in the high jump at 5’10”, Evan Mahler and Keiffer Sexton went one and two in the 3200, with Mahler winning in a meet record time of 10:23.58, and Sexton in 10:35.33, Chris Ford won the 400 meter dash in 52.13, Ben Bean was second in the high hurdles, Mahler and Sexton again went one and two, this time in the 1600, with Mahler grabbing the win in a meet record time of 4:51.29, and Sexton in 4:56.67, Ford won the 400 hurdles in a meet record time of 58.51, and they were second in the distance medley.

Lone Tree got a win from Jovonte Squires in the long jump at 19’5.75”, Nick Viner won the 100 meter dash in 12.07, they were second in the 4×200, Jared Hudson won the 200 meter dash in 23.94, and they were second in the 4×100.

Finally, the WACO boys won the shuttle hurdle with a team of Brett Heseltien, Cornell Hulme, Bryce Achen and Dylan Carlson in a meet record time of 1:00.58, that same team won the 4×200 in a meet record time of 1:35.83, and they won the 4×100 in 44.98.

Highland won their home meet with 110 points, Lone Tree was second with 105, Mid-Prairie was third with 85, and WACO was seventh with 48.

For the girls, Mid-Prairie’s Abby Tornow was second in the 3000 meter run, they were second in the 4×800, Lexi Duwa won the 100 meter dash in 13.26, they were second in the distance medley, they won the 4×200 with a team of Arissa Marine, Emily Cayton, Alex Rath and Faithe Garza in a time of 1:55.5, Ali Butters won the 100 hurdles in 18.08, Duwa came back and won the 200 in 27.18, they were second in the 800 sprint medley, Maddie Zahradnek won the 1500 in a meet record time of 5:38.12, and they won the 4×100 with a team of Duwa, Marine, Cayton and Rath in a time of 52.56.

For Highland, Kelsey Hora was second in the 100 meter dash, they won the distance medley with a team of Brianna Davis, Jordan Rath, Sam Dutton and Chelsey Lampe in a time of 4:40.65, Chelsey Lampe and Amber Bean went one and two in the 800 meter run, with Lampe winning in a time of 2:40.48, and Bean in second in 2:42.39, Hora was second in the 200 meter dash, they won the sprint medley with a team of Davis, Cheyann Adamson, Hora and Dutton in 2:00.51, and they won the 4×400 with a team of Hora, Lampe, Bean and Courtnee Hahn in a time of 4:27.11.

For Lone Tree, Paige Doehrmann was second in the 400 meter dash in 1:05.11.

For WACO, Rosemary Skriver was second in the high jump, they were second in the 4×200, and Kasey Sutton was second in the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles.

Mid-Prairie won the meet with 130 points, Highland was second with 94, WACO was fifth with 66, and Lone Tree was seventh with 24.
