The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released the regional volleyball match-ups, and here they are in descending class order.

In 4A, Washington pulled Fort Madison in the first round on Oct. 28. The winner of that game goes on to play Davenport Assumption. In the top of the bracket is North Scott and Davenport North in the first round, with the winner of that game playing Marion.

In 3A, Mid-Prairie faces Williamsburg on Monday Oct. 28. The other two teams in the top of the bracket are PCM and Bondurant-Farrar, and in the bottom is Benton and South Tama, and East Marshall and Nevada.

In 2A, Columbus Junction is in the top portion of their region’s bracket facing Durant on Oct. 22, with the winner playing Wilton, while the other teams in the top of the bracket are Wapello and Pekin in round one, with the winner playing West Branch.

On the bottom of the bracket Highland goes to Iowa City Regina on Oct. 22, with the winner playing Iowa Valley, while the other two teams are Danville and West Burlington, and the winner plays Van Buren.

In 1A, the Southeast Iowa Superconference has been split up quite a bit. In region six, IMS plays Montezuma in the first round on Oct. 22, Other teams in this region are Lynnville Sully, Meskwaki Settlement, English Valley, HLV, Waterloo Christian, GMG, Don Bosco, East Buchanan, Valley Lutheran, Dunkerton, West Central, Janesville and the top ranked team with a bye in the first round is Belle Plaine.

In region seven, Lone Tree hosts Cedar Valley Christian on Oct. 22, while WACO travels to Burlington Notre Dame. Other teams in this region are Easton Valley, Prince of Peace, Midland, Lisbon, Central City, Springville, Rivermont Collegiate, Calamus-Wheatland, and with byes are New London and Marqutte Catholic.

Finally in Region eight is Keota playing Sigourney in a school rivalry playoff game on Oct. 22 and the winner of that match goes on to play WMU. Other teams in this district are Tri-County, Twin Cedars, North Mahaska, Melcher-Dallas, Wayne, Moulton-Udell, Moravia, Seymour, Holy Trinity, Maharishi and Harmony.
