Official Caucus Results in Today- Split Decision

The official results for the Iowa Republican Caucus have been released. Rick Santorum has 34 votes more than Romney, but 8 precincts have missing data which could give the edge to Romney, so the results are being called a split decision by the Republican party . The County Chairs of each county in Iowa were required to send in confirmed results to the Republican Party of Iowa yesterday.

Washington Caucuses A Success

The Caucuses in Washington County were a success. Steve Olsen, the chairman for the 3rd ward republican caucus, said they had a high turnout.

Ranking Committee Member Named

The state Senate Republican leadership has announced Senator-Elect Sandy Greiner of Keota has been named as a ranking member of the Senate Economic Growth Committee when the 84th General Assembly convenes next month.
