A member of the Washington School Board has resigned.

At Wednesday’s board meeting the resignation of Kate Glinsmann was accepted. Superintendent Jeff Dicks shared the reason for the resignation, “I’ve been in communication with Kate, and out of respect for her privacy, her and I talked through it and what we would say. And so she is resigning due to personal health concerns.” The board secretary will now publish a public notice of the vacancy. The public will have 14 days to petition for a special election. If no petition is filed, then the board will appoint a new board member to serve until the next school election.
