The Washington County Safe Coalition is bringing a national program to Washington this week.  Chrystal Woller with Washington County Public Health says the Coalition was one of 37 recipients from across the country to receive a grant from the American Medical Association Foundation Healthy Lifestyles Grant.

This grant will allow the Safe Coalition to give a special presentation from Rachel’s Challenge.  This program will talk about anti‑bullying behaviors and encouraging respectful relationships with peers and adults.

It will take place Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Washington High School.  Out of the grants distributed, Washington County SAFE Coalition’s was the only one awarded in Iowa.
