Next Thursday an Iowa State University farm will celebrate 25 years.

The South East Iowa Research and Demonstration Farm near Crawfordsville was established in 1987 with the purchase of 198 acres of land by the South East Iowa Agricultural Research Association.

According to Jim Fawcett with the Johnson County Extension the association advises scientists on current ag research and demonstration activities. To celebrate the milestone there will be an informal reception at 11am on Thursday with speakers including the Iowa State University Vice President of Extension & Outreach, John Lawrence.
