There are a number of factors the Washington County Secondary Roads Department considers when deciding on road projects for the construction season. County Engineer Jacob Thorius says they look at traffic volume, severity of damage and whether there’s an alternate route. He explains take into account their list of problem areas and the entire system when setting priorities. A few big projects are planned this year, including work on the bridge that crosses Crooked Creek on Wayland Road, which is expected to start before April 7th.
