Approximately 50 soldiers from the 832nd Engineer Company of the Iowa Army National Guard will be in Mount Pleasant for a sendoff ceremony. The event is Friday morning, July 30th at the Mount Pleasant High School at 10:00. Soldiers will report to their mobilization station at Camp Shelby in Mississippi for additional training and preparation before departing for Afghanistan following the ceremony. The public is encouraged to attend.
