Main Street Washington is encouraging you to shop locally this holiday season. Amy Vetter with Main Street Washington says that shopping locally means more money stays in the local community.  She says that the money that stays here helps not only with the good of the local economy, but saves you extra expenses such as gas and eating out when you factor in driving to an out of town location.  Vetter says that by shopping locally, it is an advantage to both the shopper and the city as a whole.
