The Iowa State Baseball Tournament kicked off yesterday but the weather forced games to be moved to today. Remsen, St. Mary’s was taking on Southeast Warren and they managed to get to the fourth inning before lightning suspended the game. They’ll resume today with St. Mary’s up 7-4. Class 2A games will be played Monday, 3A will be on Tuesday, and 4A on Wednesday. Class 3A Knoxville, the team that came out of the Demons’ sub-state, will be the number one seed and open with Independence on Tuesday. Knoxville is the number one seed with a 24-9 record and Independence comes in with a 14-23 record.
