Youth in fifth through 12th grades have an opportunity to take part in a poultry project this summer.  Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says the Iowa State Fair is offering those involved in 4-H a chance to exhibit market broilers.  She adds the birds will be shipped to a member’s home in late June or early July and each participant will then exhibit one pen of five broilers during the Iowa State Fair.

The cost is $64 for an order of 50 birds.  Registration is due by Wednesday, June 1st and to find out more information, click here.
