A fundraiser is being held tomorrow to raise funds to renovate the exterior of the State Theater in Washington. Washington Main Street Design Committee member Craig Swift says the owners of the State Theater have decided to try and restore the theater to its original look.  He says the outer blonde bricks will be removed, the doors will be replaced and the windows will be put back in and replace the marquee.

Swift says eight music groups will be performing throughout the night.  He says there is a $6 cover charge and there will be an cash bar.  The evening’s events begin at 6:00 at 207 West Main Street next to the Washington Chamber of Commerce.

Swift says the work on remodeling the inside of the theater from last November’s fire is still ongoing.  For more information on this event, listen to today’s Washington Page.
