US Bank in Washington is collecting donations for Washington County Soldiers. They are hoping to fill stockings for Washington County’s 110 soldiers serving overseas. Angela Langstraat says this is the first year they’ve done this. They don’t have any specific things they are asking for, but they gave us some ideas for donations. She says pencils, paper and, envelopes help soldiers who are writing loved ones at home. She says the soldiers also like to get toothpaste toothbrushes, Chap Stick and other practical items. Another favorite is chewing gum. She says there are some things they can’t send, like aerosol products and chocolate. The donations are being accepted through the 15th with the stockings sent on the 16th to arrive by Christmas.
