The Columbus Community Schools are doing their part to combat child hunger. During the month of June, they will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program, offering free meals to all children who come. They promise to feed every child without discrimination. The meals will be available on a first come, first serve basis during the times of operation. The program runs from June 6th until June 21st, and the meals will be served at Roundy Elementary School in Columbus Junction. Breakfast will be available from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and lunch from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
