The Washington County primary election will be held on Tuesday, and one of the races on the ballot is for the County Board of Supervisors. There are six candidates running for four nominations in three of Washington County’s districts. Jack Seward, the Republican incumbent who is running unopposed in District One said when he ran in 2012 he believed the direction of the Board of Supervisors wasn’t a reflection of the people they represented. So he ran with a platform to listen to the people with a conservative approach.

Another candidate running unopposed is the only Democratic candidate in the primary, Kimberly Davis from District Four. Davis said she feels people would welcome a fresh perspective, and it would be beneficial to have someone younger on the board.

The contested Republican races are incumbent Bob Yoder against Stephanie Schlabaugh in District Two, and incumbent Stan Stoops against Robert Shepherd in District Four.
