Iowa’s annual tax free holiday ends today.

Each year for the first Friday and Saturday of August Iowa does not have sales tax on clothing and footwear items. The tax free status is only applied to items under $100. During the event all retailers in the state are required to participate. The tax free designation does not include jewelry, sporting equipment, or watches. Sunday is not part of the tax free holiday.
