A local TEA Party Chapter is planning a meeting this weekend in the wake of the passage of the new healthcare law. Organizer Laddie Oliver says they see measures such as these as fiscally irresponsible. Oliver stresses that while people may feel upset over government spending, it’s not an excuse to resort to violence. Many Congressional Democrats have received threatening messages since the healthcare bill became law. The Washington TEA Party Chapter will meet Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Washington Public Library.
