A vehicle fire was reported in Riverside this morning.  According to the Washington County Safety Center, a call was received about 7:30 of a truck on fire at the Kum and Go gas station on Highway 22.

According to a witness who wishes to remain anonymous, the driver was preparing to leave when the engine sparked upon starting resulting in the truck catching on fire.

Personnel at the gas station turned off the pumps as a safety measure and there were no injuries.  Those responding to the scene were the Riverside Fire Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
