A University of Iowa program is coming to the Kalona Public Library today. The program American Indian and First Peoples will be presented this afternoon by University of Iowa Museum of Art in the Velma Skola Program Room as a part of the library’s summer reading program.

Youth Services Librarian Erin Sehorn runs the Dream Big…Read! summer reading program for the library and shares that the museum has been displaying items at the library all week. She adds that this will be open to the 192 kids in the reading program and anyone else interested in learning more about the art of the Native Americans.
