An attorney from Fairfield has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the 8A Judicial District Court.  Attorney Myron L. Gookin from Fairfield has been chosen to fill the position left empty by Judge Michael R. Mullins.  Judge Mullins was selected to the state Court of Appeals by Governor Terry Branstad in June.

Gookin received his law degree from Drake University and is currently engaged in the private law practice with the firm of Foss, Kuiken, Gooken and Cochran in Fairfield.
