Today is Valentine’s Day and it is a day where many special gifts are sent to that special someone.  Laura Bombei from Wolf Floral says Valentine’s Day is their busiest day of the year and their second busiest holiday after Mother’s Day.  She says they start to see many people come in about two to three days before today to put in orders for flowers.

Bombei says after roses, the next popular type of flowers ordered is a mix of spring flowers like tulips and daisies.  Tsalika Drown owner of Café Dodici in Washington says Valentine’s Day is their busiest day of the year and she says depending on when Valentine’s Day falls during the week determines if they are busy on other days as well.

Drown strongly recommends making a reservation several days in advance instead of the last minute because of the limited seating most restaurants have.
