The 30th Annual Senior Southeast Iowa Volleyball Classic is scheduled for Saturday at Mediapolis High School. Two local athletes and one coach from the KCII listening area will be involved in festivities.

WACO’s Emma Wagler is one of the All-Stars competing. This year she posted 183 kills, fourth in the Southeast Iowa Superconference, a .230 kill efficiency, third in conference, 89 digs, 35 blocks, fifth in conference, and 35 aces, seventh in conference. She was a first team All-Superconference selection. The Warriors finished the year with an 18-13 record.

Winfield-Mt. Union’s Audrie Gipple was named to the All-Star roster. Gipple put up 200 kills, third in the Southeast Iowa Superconference, a .217 kill efficiency, fourth in conference, 174 digs, 19 blocks and 19 aces. She was a first team All-Superconference selection. The Lady Wolves finished the year with a 17-14 record.

Highland head coach Shannon Hills-Copeman has been named to the All-Star coaching staff. Hills-Copeman led the Huskies to 13 wins each of the last two seasons.

The event also includes athletes from Danville, Fairfield, Fort Madison, Holy Trinity, Keokuk, Mediapolis, New London, Burlington Notre Dame, Van Buren, Wapello, and West Burlington.

Action starts at 7p.m. Saturday on Bud McLearn Court at Mediapolis High School.
