With the holidays approaching, the WACO community hopes to continue their tradition of providing families in need with Christmas gifts. Program Organizer Chris Conrad was no stranger to the spirit of giving when she took over.

Conrad was helping families in Washington through HACAP, a community action agency, prior to the pandemic. “Through COVID, that program kind of came to a stop, and so we just dove right into the WACO community and it grew,” Conrad said. “We wanted to keep doing it. Even through COVID we knew that families needed some encouragement and some good coming out of that particular year.”

Families in the WACO School District who would like their children to benefit from this program must fill out a form detailing the child’s first and last name, age, gender, a non-clothing suggestion, and clothing suggestions. Forms must be completed and submitted to your WACO school office by Friday, November 4. They can also be placed in the dropbox by the west door at Bethel Church, located at 3185 Wayland Road.

Forms can be found here. To help out, or with any questions, call Chris Conrad at 319-256-8531, or send an email at conradsec@gmail.com.
