On Tuesday, the Washington Police Department arrested 31-year-old Cody Huber of Blairstown. He had four Washington County warrants, including interference with official acts, contempt violation of a no-contact order, Eluding, failure to yield upon entering an intersection, and reckless driving.  On October 20th, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a no-contact order violation. The Deputy reported the license plate to dispatch, who confirmed that it was Huber. After arriving on the scene and speaking with the protected party of the no-contact order, the Deputy noticed the truck was about to leave the parking lot. The Deputy tried to get Huber’s attention. Huber then proceeded to screech his tires and go into the ditch on the North side of the gas station. The Deputy pursued the vehicle. Huber then traveled West bound on Highway 78 and turned South onto Mechanic Street. The Deputy observed him going excessive speeds up to 90 MPH in the city of Brighton. Huber was able to evade the Deputy. Huber was held in the Washington County Jail until he was released on a $5000 bond.
