Election day for the upcoming general elections will be Tuesday, November 8th, and all absentee ballots need to be submitted by the time the polls close on November 8th. Any absentee ballots planned to be delivered by hand must be dropped off at the Auditors Office on the second floor of the Washington County Courthouse because there is no designated ballot drop box location in Washington. The Washington County Auditor’s Office will be open today until 5:00 pm to assist those who wish to drop off their ballots or vote in person.

Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer talked with KCII Radio about the early voting services the auditor’s office will offer. “We will be, that being the auditor’s office will be open on November 5th to help those who want to vote on a Saturday. Perhaps their work schedule makes things a little more difficult, or perhaps it could be something else. So people can come in and take care of that on November 5th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.”

Those who cannot make it into the auditor’s office today will need to vote at their local polling place, with the polls opening at 7:00 am and closing at 8:00 pm. A list of polling place locations can be found at the bottom of the article.
