A portion of Washington Street in Washington was closed, as of 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, due to a downed power line in front of the United Presbyterian Home.

Officials said they are cutting power to the line, and it would not take long to have it fixed and have the street back open. Washington Fire Department, Washington Police and emergency responders were at the scene.
