Ground has been broken on one of two large projects in the City of Columbus Junction.According to Jeff Carey, with the Columbus Junction Public Works Department, Delong Construction has laid some of the water mains for the $3.9 million water plant relocation.

Meanwhile, work on the Iowa River levee project is set to begin this month, weather permitting. He adds Cole Construction is preparing to move in equipment for that project.
