The Wellman Y is getting ready to hold its first 5K. They’re holding an I Did It 5K at the Y on Saturday May 12th. According to Christina Nash with the Wellman Y the theme I Did It was chosen because they’d like people who have never participated in something like this to give it a try.

It will be held at 9am, starting with a 1K fun run for kids twelve and under through the trails at the North Park in Wellman.

The 5K begins at ten and will be held throughout the Wellman community, beginning and ending in front of the Wellman Y. The race is being held rain or shine.
