Heavy snowfall has given way to frigid temperatures in southeast Iowa. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory this morning. They say the combination of very strong winds and cold air moving into the area will create dangerously cold wind chill values. This can result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. NWS says if you must go outdoors, wear a thick coat, hat and gloves. The wind chill advisory is in effect until noon today.
