windy-10-22-19

The third week of October in Washington had a wet start. Two-tenths of an inch of rain fell in Washington Monday morning. Strong winds are expected through this afternoon with a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service through 3 p.m. There will be winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts expected up to 45 miles per hour across southeast Iowa. These winds could blow around unsecured objects and create travel difficulties for high profile vehicles on north-south roads. People are reminded to use caution when driving and secure outdoor objects.

Partly cloudy skies are expected the rest of the week with overnight low temperatures near freezing. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
