Title: Hopeful Holiday Bazaar
Description: Hopeful Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 27th from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Kalona Chamber of Commerce Building. A variety of vendors are scheduled to attend. A portion of all vendor fees will be donated directly to food pantries. Vendor spots are still available. Please contact Sara ODonnell at 319-530-9978 for more information.

Washington Christmas Kickoff

Title: Washington Christmas Kickoff
Description: Washington’s Christmas Kickoff will be Friday Nov. 26th. Starting at 4pm there will be live intertainment in the square from the tubador and the Washington choral society. At 5pm free food will be served in central park. At 4:30pm the Jingle Bell Run will kick off. Register by Nov. 23rd for a free T-Shirt and jingle bells. Day off registration begins at Bodywrx at 3:30pm. At 5:30pm will be the lighting ceremony in the square. The lighted holiday parade will be at 6:30pm

Cost is $8 a person and can be purchased the night of the tour at each home or federation bank in Brighton, BJ’s Stop-Off, BP Amoco, Brighton Community Center or any Brighton United Church Member. The tour includes: 104 E Main St, 300 S. Jefferson St., 1535 315th St., 3245 Elm Ave, and 1575 335th St.

Title: WACO Donkey BasketBall
Description: The “Dairy Land donkey basketball show” at WACO High School will be on Saturday November 20, starting at 7:00pm. Its basketball played on real, live donkeys. All local players will be riding. Advance tickets can be purchased for $6.00 at Peoples Savings Bank in Crawfordsville or Wayland, Wayland State Bank or either WACO School. Tickets may also be available for $8.00 at the gate if there is space available. All of the proceeds will be for upgrades to the Bomber Field Concession Stand.

Description: The Christmas Open House in River Junction will be on Sunday December 5. The Morgan family will open their home at 6080 Otter Creek Rd SE from 2:00-8:00PM for a special open house featuring their extensive Christmas collection. Speakers will present on a variety of holiday subjects at 3, 5, and 7pm. Santa Claus will be making an appearance from 6:00-6:30. Admission to the open house is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. All proceeds will go to benefit the Johnson County Historical Society.
